William Morris' "Vine" wallpaper of 1873 is now available in two of Morris’ archival document colourways, including his lavish "gold lacquer" version of 1884, and a handsome green/gold combination from 1897. Two new colourways have also been added: One with a gold metallic all-over background, and one lighter version with a cream background.

This lavish “gold lacquer”
colourway was one of Morris' most expensive wallpapers,
and is reproduced here for the first time. The grapes
and leaves are in tones of deep olive greens, with the
background leaves in a rich metallic gold. This version
was first noted in Morris’ log book of 1884, and
was still available to order in 1913. Historic Style
has carefully matched the colours to an original roll
of wallpaper in a Museum collection.
