The background pattern of Morris' "Lily" wallpaper
has been extracted to produce Standen. These two-tone colourways
are specially designed to provide a small-scale coordinating
paper for the rest of the Morris collection. Standen can be
used by itself; or as a coordinate with the larger Morris patterns.
Standen is named after the great Arts & Crafts
house in Sussex designed by Philip Webb and decorated by Morris
& Co. in 1894 which is pictured at left.
